Spider vein treatment / Sclerotherapy /Asclera
Spider veins ( not to be confused with varicose veins ) are dilated blood vessels < 3 mm that branch and are commonly found on thighs , lower legs and feet. They are progressive in nature and usually increase in number and visibility with age .
Asclera is used for lower extremity spider vein treatment.
It involves injecting the medicine into leg veins smaller than 3 mm ( usually called spider veins ) , followed by compression for 2-3 days after treatment of spider veins and 5 to 7 days after treatment of reticular veins.
repeat treatments may be required to fully get rid of spider veins every 1-2 weeks.
Cost of treatment depends on the amount of time spent , which can be assessed before treatment .
